A Normal Girl produced by Shawna Lipton and Pidgeon Pagonis and directed by Aubree Bernier-Clarke premiered at the British Film Institute’s Flare Film Festival in London in March 2019.

The film was selected to be one of the British Council’s “Five Films for Freedom” for advancing social justice issues and LGBT rights.

A Finalist in the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase in the American Pavilion at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

Travelled to the University of Saskatchewan on an ICCC Community Fellowship to conduct research in the Neil Richards Collection of Sexual and Gender Diversity. In September 2015 she gave an invited talk entitled "Returning to The Well: Radclyffe Hall and the Marketing of Lesbian Pulp Fiction."

Organized a panel on Queer Theory and the Modernist Author for the the MLA convention in Vancouver, Canada in January 2015. Presided and presented paper “Redressing Radclyffe Hall: The Critical Legacy of The Well of Loneliness.”

Attended Queer and Now: Rethinking Queer Theory in the Humanities, a symposium at The University of Wisconsin - Madison in March 2014. 

Introduced keynote speaker Jack Halberstam at The Midwest Interdisciplinary Graduate Conference in February 2013.
